How much are x-rays?

There are no extra charges for X-rays at Freedom Orthopedic. They are included in the cost of the office visit. All our pricing is posted on our site.

How much are injections?

How much do casts cost?

There are no extra charges for casts at Freedom Orthopedic. They are included in the cost of the office visit. All our pricing is posted on our site.

Do splints and braces cost extra?

There are no extra charges for splints and braces at the time of your office visit to Freedom Orthopedic. They are included in the cost of the office visit. All our pricing is posted on our site.

Do you take payment plans?

No. However we do accept all major credit cards and we help facilitate payment plans through CareCredit.

Do you do MRI's at your facilities?
We do not do them at the facility on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. but we do refer to a facility that offers affordable cash prices.
Is your doctor board certified?

Absolutely. Dr. Vaughn is a graduate of Brown University and the University of Cincinnati Medical School and is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

How do you keep cost for treating fractures so low compared to others?

We aren’t forced to pay for all of the unnecessary medical records software and insurance mark-ups that do nothing for the quality of healthcare and only serve to drive up the cost of care to the patient by 3 or 4 times the amount.

How much does surgery cost?

Our transparent surgery prices are clearly stated on our website. The price shown reflects the cost of the surgery center, surgical fees, and the anesthesia. You will not incur any other costs unless it is discussed prior to surgery.

What options are there for payment?

We can help facilitate financing through care credit. We also accept all major credit cards.

Do you have x-ray?

Yes. We have a computerized radiography machine in our office.

Do you sew up cuts in your office?
Yes. Most lacerations can be treated here. If the laceration is severe, we may need to treat it in an operating room.
What surgeries do you do?

A complete list of our surgical procedures are listed on our website here (link). If there is a orthopedic procedure not listed here, we may still offer it, so please call the office for clarification.

Are you able to set fractures in your office?

We are able to set many fractures here. More complex fractures may need to be addressed in the operating room.

Do you see walk in patients?

Most of the time, we can accommodate same or next day appointments. Please call for an appointment.

How long does it typically take to get seen in the office?

Typically patients can be seen immediately and spend less than an hour here on an initial visit.

Do you offer weekend hours?

No. We are available Monday-Friday 8AM- 5PM. Please call for an appointment.

Why don't you participate as a provider in insurance plans?
By not participating with insurance plans, our responsibility is directly to you, our patient, and not to the insurance companies. This allows us to offer you the same world-class orthopedic care at a fraction of the cost.
I have insurance, can you still see me?
If you have insurance, we can still treat you. You pay for the visit upfront and if you bring the forms to us, we can help you complete them to submit for reimbursement.
Will the doctor prescribe something for pain?
The prescribing of pain medication will be determined at the time of the visit, depending on the condition of the patient.
If I need surgery, where will it be done?

Most of our surgical procedures are performed at Perimeter Surgery Center of Atlanta.
